Red Kimono Dress
This dress is made out the fabric from a vintage kimono. The inspiration was the mingling of Eastern and Western fashion in the 1940’s. The silhouette is a Western halter dress made using the salvaged kimono silk brocade with the wrap-around bow at the waist meant to reference the obi (The fabric on a kimono that wraps around the waist and is folded into a box shape at the back).
